I came across a question on this topic a little while ago, and thought I\u2019d share with you all how I recommended this PM tackle it.&nbsp;Who knows, it might help you learn how to prioritize too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-my-exec-team-wants-the-entire-team-to-vote-on-features-and-prioritize-the-most-popular-ones-i-think-this-is-a-terrible-idea-help\">\u201cMy exec team wants the entire team to vote on features and prioritize the most popular ones &#8211; I think this is a terrible idea. Help.\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First off, they absolutely nailed it in thinking this is the wrong approach. Building a product isn\u2019t about running an internal democracy and working on the most popular items your team thinks you should be working on. At the end of the day, you aren\u2019t building things for yourselves, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prodpad.com\/blog\/finding-product-market-fit\/\">you\u2019re building things for a market<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that said, before you just say \u201cno,\u201d it\u2019s important to take a step back and understand where this is coming from. Usually situations like these stem from your team wanting<a href=\"https:\/\/www.prodpad.com\/blog\/internal-transparency-in-the-workplace\/\"> more visibility over what is happening<\/a>. It is a <em>symptom<\/em> of the major problem your team is having: lack of transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So the real question is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-can-you-make-the-product-management-process-more-transparent-for-your-team\">How can you make the product management process more transparent for your team?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is what product tools like ProdPad were designed for.
